Employment – Now Hiring for Summer 2026!!

Every day is a new adventure as we explore the local mountains, lakes, rivers, and trails.

Lead Adventure Guides head up group activities including canoeing, kayaking, swimming, river trekking, hiking, tubing, creating survival tools, campfire cooking, mountain biking, nature crafting, fire building, fort building and more. The ideal Lead Adventure Guide candidate is passionate about being outdoors no matter what the weather.  Ideal candidates also recognize how important it is to help campers immerse in the natural world, disconnect and unplug while they build confidence.  At Mud City, we honor applicants who love to swim and play in water, enjoy building forts & fires as well as being excited to pedal and paddle. Teamwork is key as Lead Adventure Guides work together and collaborate on gear preparation, logistics, and group management with the goal of successful and fun adventures for everyone. Lead  Adventure Guides contribute to the overall rich camp experience, by leading safe and fun adventures, initiating camp crafts, field games, group challenges, and teaching basic survival skills and outdoor ethics like Leave No Trace.  A clean driving record and confidence in driving a large van full of kids is required for higher level positions.  If you enjoy working outside and have experience with children and this sounds exciting and rewarding to you, come join us this summer at Mud City Adventures!

Our Camp Counselors work to support Lead Adventure Guides in group activities and our daily outings.  Engaging with campers and keeping the camp spirit on a high level are a must while always keeping safety front of mind.  Camp Counselors enrich the overall camp experience by encouraging and inspiring campers, forging relationships, building trust, and most importantly of all – bringing more FUN to every adventure. Furthering leadership skills and taking on responsibilities, Camp Counselors may have the opportunity to advance into a Lead Adventure Guide position.

All open positions are seasonal, available from June 22 to September 4, 2026, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm, with flexible scheduling and a minimum of a 6 week commitment. We support both full time and part time schedules, ranging from 2-5 days per week. Prior experience working with kids, prior guiding experience or past summer camp experience is a plus. Additional work opportunities for overnight camping experiences are available throughout this summer with interest.

We can’t wait to hear from you, and we are looking forward to an action-packed and fun-filled summer.
